Charity Committee 2025-2026
Please read the information put together by our Year 6 committee ambassadors for this academic year to find out more about us.
At Trellech Primary School, our Charity Committee is proud to support our local community as well as wider causes. Together we aim to inspire kindness, build empathy, and make a real difference one act at a time.
We are honoured to support the Monmouth Food bank by generously contributing food and everyday essentials where we can. In doing this, we are trying to ensure that no one in our community goes without. This year, we will be taking donations for the food bank throughout the whole of the academic year, along with continuing to support occasions such as The Harvest festival, Christmas and Easter.
We also contribute our efforts to larger charities, such as Red Nose Day, Christmas Jumper Day, Children in Need and Remembrance Day. These events allow our school to take part in powerful movements that promote laughter, compassion, and reflection. Whether we’re raising money through fun dress-up days or taking time to remember those who served, we do it with pride and purpose.
Please see below for our upcoming competition to support Monmouth foodbank:
We would like you to create a poster to be displayed in our school and at Monmouth foodbank to raise awareness of its importance as well as the different foods they need.
If you would like to enter, please can all entries be made by Friday 10th October, 2025.
These can be given to Miss Light. We will then decide and announce the winners during a golden assembly.
